Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped mountain peaks as you descend into Kathmandu. A member of our local team will be waiting at Tribhuvan International Airport to welcome you to Nepal and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing tours in Boudhanath, Pashupatinath & Patan
Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal first opened its doors to visitors. The city represents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. There will be a guided tour to Boudhnath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal and after thatPashupatinath, the most popular Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also included is a visit to Patan 5 km away. Patan is also known as Lalitpur, “the City of Artisans”. You’ll walk through Patan Durbar Square and delight in the architectural wonders of the Malla era. Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Krishna Temple and Golden Temple are the major attractions at the square. to
Day 03: Drive to Chitwan (5 hrs drive/190 km)
Today, you head towards Chitwan along Prithivi Highway. Chitwan prides itself in its rich wildlife and lush vegetation. Rare species of birds and animals inhabit the deep jungle of Chitwan National Park, including the one-horned rhino and the Royal Bengal Tiger. In the evening, you’ll get to enjoy a local Tharu stick dance, a slide show demonstrating the culture of Nepal and a special meal.
Day 04: Safari Excursion
After breakfast, you’ll experience a full day of safari activities in Chitwan National Park. If you’re lucky, you will see many of the amazing creatures Chitwan is famous for, including rhinoceroses, Chitwan's royal Bengal tigers, leopards, monkeys, many types of deer and reptiles. Your safari excursion includes a jungle safari, canoeing and bird watching. You’ll definitely want to have your camera close by.
Day 05: Drive to Lumbini (3 hrs drive/138 km)
We’ll make the drive to Lumbini early in the morning. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, has been revered as a place of holy pilgrimage and has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Upon arrival in Lumbini, we check into the hotel and then go walking through the Sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born. You’ll pass through Ashoka pillar and visit the Maya Devi Temple, with its sculpture depicting Maya Devi holding on with her right hand to a branch of pipal tree and giving birth to the infant Buddha who stands up on a lotus pedestal.
Day 06: Drive to Pokhara (7 hrs drive/264 km)
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll travel to Pokhara, which is 179 km away from Kathmandu. When we reach Pokhara, we’ll check into one of the area’s nicest hotels. Pokhara will have you mesmerized with its majestic snow-capped mountain peaks and exquisite beauty. Pokhara is most popular for its lakes Phewa, Begnas and Rupa. During your time in Pokhara you can explore some of the area’s caves, like Mahendra Gupha. Other highlights include Devis Falls, the gorge of the Seti River and a Tibetan refugee camp.
Day 07: Excursion to Sarangkot; fly to Kathmandu
In the morning, you will be guided on a trek to Sarangkot. Located at 1592 meters and a three-hour walk up the mountain from Pokhara, it is the highest point on the Pokara valley rim. From Sarangkot, you can see the Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna ranges (Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Machhapuchure, Annapurna III, Annapurna II, Annapurna IV and LamjungHimal). After soaking in the spectacular scenery, you will take a 30 minute flight back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish.
Day 08: International departure
Our driver and airport representative will drive you to the airport for your international departure. We know that you will leave with memories to last a lifetime, of a truly incredible land.
