Dog Sets High-Altitude Skydiving Record A very cool canine named Cara set a new skydiving record for dogkind when she made a tandem high-altitude skydive during this year's World Freefall Convention. The world's only certified pararescue dog jumped from 30,100 feet, and reached a freefall speed of 205 mph to earn a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Read more about this very special pooch and her owner on the Halojumper website. Please Don't Shoot the Hostage During a recent group adventure in Arizona, IA president Jane Reifert was taken hostage by a paintball-weapon-wielding team of corporate executives. She was flung over a guy's shoulder for a bullet-dodging run across a field, forced to hide in a big dirt hole and shot not once, not twice, but three times... by the team trying to rescue her. Jane's unexpected adventure was provided by some really fun members of the Young President's Organization. The bunch from Seattle enjoyed an action-packed Specops adventure near Tucson earlier this month. If you'd like to schedule a program for your group, contact Jane at 800-644-7382. |
