There's only
one place in the world where you can break the sound barrier
and climb to the edge of space in a Russian MiG-29.
That place is the airspace over the Sokol
Aircraft Building Plant in the town of Nizhny Novgorod.
Nizhny
is one of Russia's largest cities, yet many haven't heard
of the place where flying dreams come true. Maybe,
it's because the town once had another name.
From
1932 to 1990, the town was called Gorky in honor of the
famous Russian writer Maxim Gorky, who was born there. Home
to more than a million residents, Nizhny is located 450
km northeast of Moscow, along the banks of the Volga and
Oka Rivers.
It can be difficult finding an affordable flight to
Nizhny from the US, so our standard MiG-29 adventures begin
and end in Moscow. This provides MiG flyers the chance to
experience two great Russian cities, instead of one.
Adventurers
take a train from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod the night prior
to their supersonic flight and fly back to Moscow after
their flying program is complete. Before returning
to Moscow, there's time to tour the special air museum at
the Sokol Plant and see some of Nizhny's top tourist sites.
Incredible Adventures is now
scheduling MiG flights for April and
beyond. If you'd like to fly a MiG-29 over Nizhny, call
or email
us today. We'll be happy to provide proving and answer
any questions you may have.
Through
a special arrangement with the Supersonic
Club of South Africa, Incredible Adventures can now
put you in the cockpit of a legendary MiG-21 as it speeds
low over the African bush and flies fast between majestic
mountains.
The Supersonic
Club of South Africa was created with a goal of making supersonic
flight affordable for more individuals.
For approximately $10,000 US, you can join the club, break
the sound barrier in a MiG-21 and spend five nights at the
award-winning Kapama Private Game Reserve. The price estimate
is based on current exchange rates and includes airport
and airbase transfers, meals and two game drives per day.
Those preferring to arrange their own accommodations and
transfers can do so.
The price is the same whether
you arrange your trip through Incredible Adventures
or the Supersonic Club and is based on the program selected
and current exchange rates.
Flights are so popular, they
must be reserved far in advance, so call or email us today
to start planning your supersonic safari. To learn more,
