MiG Flyer Rates Adventure
a "10 out of 10"
On
October 16th, a 72-year-old retired British aerospace engineer became
the first Incredible Adventures customer to fly a MiG at Aircraft Building Plant Sokol. Nick flew
a MiG 29 with honored pilot of Russia Yuri
Polyakov. In a phone call from Russia, Nick told IA's Director of
Sales Greg Claxton it was "a day to remember".
You can see photos
from Nick's day at the base here. We've
also updated our website with
new pilot bios, airbase info and more.
Don't Believe
Everything You Read
A quick "Google"
search will turn up websites of several companies still advertising
MiG flights at Zhukovsky Air Base. Despite what you may read online,
flights at Zhukovsky are no longer possible. There is currently only
one place where you can fly a MiG over Russia and Incredible Adventures
is the only non-Russian company that can take you there.
Thanks for
Sharing!
The
response to our online Space Survey was "incredible", to say the least. We'd
like to thank all who participated for taking the time to share their
opinions and comments.
A summary of
the results is now available, absolutely free, on the Spaceport Associates
website or you can download it here.
(Derek Webber of Spaceport Associates is now hard at work on a more
detailed analysis of responses that will be available to interested
parties for $750.)
Congratulations
go out to R. Jordan, the lucky winner of a flying adventure. His entry
was chosen at random from all those submitted by survey participants.
New
Biplane Adventure in California
Mike
"Rocket" Blackstone, the man behind our California Skythrills
Adventure, has gone shopping. For some men, shopping means a new home
entertainment system. For Mike, it means a new adventure for you.
When you book a California Skythrills
Adventure, you now have the option of adding on a flight in a 1935*
Waco Classic Open Cockpit Biplane. (*Actually, it's a 10 year old plane
made by Waco to look like a 71 year old plane.) Add a little history
to your day for $425. Contact usi
for details.
Thunder City Lightnings
Receive Standing Ovation at Air Show
An
estimated 70,000 people watched as the world's only flying English Electric
Lightnings flew in perfect formation. The performance by our Cape Town Jets
pilots was a highlight of South Africa's Defence Week Air Show. (The
event is South Africa's equivalent of the UK's Farnborough Show.)
If you'd like to have your
very own incredible adventure in an English Electric Lightning over
South Africa, call or email
Greg.

Where Thanks is Due...

We'd
like to thank the really generous people at Light
& Motion of Monterey, California. Their recent donation
of a state-of-the-art Bluefin FX1 underwater camera housing was
incredibly kind. The equipment will greatly benefit the many ocean
outreach projects supported by Incredible Adventures and Ocean Outreach, Inc.
If you're in need of underwater imaging equipment, visit Light & Motion.
