Great White Shark Dives Get a Makeover

Great White SharkThis season, we're offering two incredible new choices in San Francisco great white shark diving.  Join us for a one-day trip aboard the New Eldorado III or board the White Holly for a two-day Farallones expedition that will have you sleeping among the sharks.  No dive experience is required.

Shark diving in the Farallon IslandsOur one-day shark adventures now depart from San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf. You'll travel to the Farallons aboard the New Eldorado III, a 55 ft high-speed catamaran. She provides the perfect combination of speed, comfort and stability. The cost is $875 for cage divers and $375 for topsiders.  Plan to leave the dock by 7 am and return around 5 pm.

This season, for the first time ever, we're also offering overnight trips to the Farallons. Shark divers can get double the cage time The Hollyby booking a bunk on the White Holly and spending two incredible days diving with sharks and observing amazing wildlife alongside our naturalist and expert shark dive team. The White Holly is a 133 ft high endurance research and expedition vessel that first took to the seas on D-Day, 1944.

Our two-day shark expeditions depart from nearby Sausalito, a great seaside village located just across the Golden Gate from San Francisco.  You'll board the White Holly on Friday night at the US Army Corps of Engineers dock, located just behind the Bay Model Visitor Center. (Be sure to take the tour of this amazing facility while you're in town.)

cage diversVery early Saturday morning, while you're still sound asleep in your bunk, we'll depart for the Farallons and our favorite spot to drop the shark cages. You'll spend Saturday night out at the Farallons and won't set foot on land again until Sunday evening.  The cost is $1175 per person and includes just about everything. (That isn't a typo. For only $300 more than the cost of a one day cage dive adventure, you get a second day of cage diving, plus on-board accommodations and most of your meals.)

Note: Our two-day expeditions aren't for everyone. You should be comfortable with the idea of sleeping in a shared bunkroom and physically able to navigate around a real work boat.  You'll experience a bit of what it's like to be an ocean researcher out at sea.

For a more information on our one and two day shark adventures in California, and for a list of 2008 shark dates, click here or contact us at 800-644-7382. Space on both vessels is extremely limited so advance reservations are a must.

Shark Dives in Jeopardy: We Need Your Letters

Seals on the rocks in the FarallonsThere is an effort underway to get boats banned from traveling within 300 feet of the magnificent Farallon Islands.  (That's the length of an American football field.) If people behind the effort are successful, this could very well be our last season offering great white shark adventures in California.  The restriction would serve to keep people so far from the wildlife that inhabit the islands that observing the shark feedings, seals and seabirds would be difficult.

We need your help. We need short letters in support of our California great white shark dives that we can present to key decision makers. Letters from past shark dive customers endorsing our operation are needed most of all. We know we run a great program, but "the powers that be" need to hear it from you. Please email your comments to: jane@incredible-adventures.com. We can't thank you enough.

We Love Emails Like This

Fly the legendary MiG over Russia"...Right from the very start, when we arrived in Moscow, I felt safe and secure with your wonderful ladies (Lena and Irina). They could not have been more helpful. Giving me a cell phone was a nice touch. The accommodation was first class all the way. My friend Kerry was very impressed with Moscow"...

"The flight was the most exciting (and demanding) thing I have ever done in my whole life.  My fitness let me down a little (if I were to do it again, and I probably will, in a MiG 31), I would get into better shape and perhaps have a ride in the L-39 first. I could not believe the power of the MiG. It was spectacular. The pilot and all the Russians at Sokol were great."

"The whole adventure so far was worth every penny and I have still not got back home to brag to my flying buddies!! Thanks again and I hope to be in touch with you in the future."

(Signed Tom, from Australia.  See more of Tom's photos here.)

Don't Let the Irish Have All the Luck

This summer's MiG flight schedule gives new meaning to the phrase "the luck o' the Irish".  A record number of citizens from Ireland are lucky enough to be heading to Russia to fly a MiG.

If you'd like to fly a MiG, you don't have to be Irish, but you do have to contact Greg.

Moms and Dads Need Adventures

We sell a whole lot of air combat adventures as Father's Day gifts. Dads shouldn't be the only ones having fun. We think Mom would like a shark dive. Or a zero-gravity flight. Or, better yet, a Hollywood Top Gun adventure. Hint, hint.

Please Don't Shoot the Hostage

Urban Ops Extreme ActionAt a recent Urban Ops Adventure in West Virginia, IA's Sheri Lewis was taken hostage by armed gunmen and held in an abandoned hospital against her will.  (That's because she really wanted to be a bad guy.) Being a hostage for one of our military fantasy camps means you have a 99.9% chance of getting shot...not by the mock terrorists, Urban Ops - firing rangebut by the team sent in to rescue you.  Sure enough, Sheri was pelted by friendly fire.

Our Urban Ops Adventure is designed to be pure fun, but you learn a lot too...like just how hard it is to tell the good guys from the bad guys when the bullets start flying.

For more information on our upcoming Urban Ops program, slated for July 18-20, click here or call us at 800-644-7382.  The cost is $3695 and includes expert training, meals, lodging and lots and lots of shooting.

(When she's not selling adventures or playing hostage, Sheri is an award-winning photographer. If you'd like to see more of her Urban Ops photos, drop her an email.)

See Tampa Bay Like a Bird

Ultralight flying adventure

Don't let the low price fool you. One of our cheapest adventures is actually one of our most incredible.  Learn what it's like to pilot an ultralight trike for just $200. The view of Tampa Bay's coastline from the sky is something you'll never forget. Here's what a recent flyer named Lisa wrote about her adventure:

"Just wanted to let you know I had an AWESOME flight!!! Alex was great! You have a great service going there, and I hope to be calling you again for some more incredible adventures!"

If you'd like to fly a trike, contact us at 800-644-7382.
