Hollywood Top Gun Pilots Add Another Movie to Their Logbooks

Kerosene CowboysFilming for the movie "Kerosene Cowboys" is set to begin in Russia this summer. The "Top Gun" style picture is based on Randy Arrington's novel "Kerosene Cowboys: Manning the Spare", about pilots of an elite naval air squadron.

The movie is the result of a joint venture between California's Afterburner Films and Russia's Svarog Films and will feature the incredible flying of our very own Hollywood Top Gun pilots

Producers have been granted access to the real US Navy Fighter Weapons School in Nevada and Russia's Air Force bases Hollywood Top Gunand aircraft.  If you love American and Russian fighter jets like we do, you'll want to be in line for movie tickets on opening day.

In the meantime, you can fly with the very same pilots making the next great "Top Gun" movie and make your own short flick.  The cost is $2950.  For more information about our Hollywood Top Gun adventures and our movie-making pilots, call 800-644-7382 or visit our website.

Another Satisfied MiG Customer

Herve flew the MiG-31Earlier this month, Herve from France and his wife traveled to Russia to fly the MiG-31.  Here is an excerpt from the email he sent us after he returned home:

"Dear Greg, I want to thank you for this great hour in the sky.  Please give my many thanks to Elena in Moscow and Irina in Gorky.  The organization is good, the hotel is the good one, the schedule is perfect, the mobile phone given is reassuring."

You can see a few photos from Herve's incredible MiG flight if you click here

(Giving our customers a Moscow cell phone, pre-programmed with the phone numbers of all our staff, seems to have been one of our better ideas!) If you'd like to schedule your own incredible adventure in a MiG-29 or MiG-31, contact Greg at 800-644-7382.

Dr Beach Names Siesta Key 3rd Best Beach in the Country

Each year, a man nicknamed "Dr Beach", travels around the US visiting beaches and rating them in terms of things like sand, water, concessions, parking and recreational amenities. He then publishes his findings for all the world to see.

We're proud to report that our very own Siesta Beach, here in Sarasota, Florida, was just named the third best beach in all of the US.  Our office is located just steps from the incredible white sand, so you can go to the beach and book an adventure in the same afternoon!

We can be found at the beach quite often, but on June 14th and 15th, we'll actually be "working" there. Siesta Beach is the site of Pirate Dive Fest, a two day ocean festival to benefit Mote Marine Aquarium.  If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to stop by our booth to say hello and pick up info on our Bahamas and San Francisco shark dives.

Our next Bahamas Tiger Shark Dive is July 19th and Great White Shark Season in San Francisco begins September 20th.

Countdown to Everest

The Everest Skydive Team was in Nepal earlier this month to make final preparations for September's history-making jumps.Preparing to skydive on Mt. Everest Here is a bit of what organizer Nigel Gifford wrote to us from the other side of the world:

"All the preparations have gone well here and Kathmandu is buzzing with what we are doing...The Everest Skydive Freefall Team (Leo Dickinson, Andy Montriou, Dave Wood, Ben Wood and myself) are being called Lungpa!  This is the Tibetan word for mystical beings that jump long distance and over mountains!"

There's still time to join our second load of jumpers. The deadline for registration is July 31. No prior skydive experience is necessary. The cost is $36,500 for tandem jumpers and $27,500 for experienced skydivers. You can also join the expedition as a ground observer for $8500.

See more pictures from the Everest Skydive Team's exploratory trip here.  For more information on the adventure itself, email us or visit our website.

A "Save Our Shark Dives" Update

Great White Shark Adventures

We'd like to thank all of you who took time to write in support of our great white shark adventures in San Francisco.  On May 19, IA staff met with Maria Brown, the Director of the Gulf of the Farallones Marine Sanctuary. While nothing is official yet, the Sanctuary staff has recommended legislation that will permit us ongoing access to the Farallons during shark season.

Telling One Op From Another...

URBAN OPS: The most "hard core" of our military adventures. Features a ton of shooting, plus training in close quarter combat and hostage techniques. Takes place at a private training facility in West Virginia. Cost: $3695 for a three day adventure.

Next Mission: July 18th - 20th

COVERT OPS: This program takes place in the Arizona desert and features hostage rescue training, unarmed self-defense and evasive and convoy driving. It's a good "taste test" of the type of training you'd need to become an undercover operative.  Cost: $3795 for a three day adventure, $1995 for a two day program.

Next Mission: Sept 5th - 7th

SPECOPS:  Learn how to survive in the wild and/or navigate your way out of anywhere. Training is offered regularly in Florida but can be brought to you. Cost: Varies, depending on location, length of training and number of participants.

Next Mission: Call for dates
