Make a Very Long Jump over a
Very Tall Mountain
We
are now just weeks away from making skydiving history in the skies over
Alaska. The first and likely only skydive
over Mt McKinley, one of the seven great summits and the tallest
mountain in North America, is slated for June 20-25.
There's still time to join us
for this incredible adventure, but not much. All jumps will be high-altitude
tandem jumps so no prior skydiving experience is necessary. The cost
is $25,000 and includes jump training, use of equipment, lodging in
Alaska and enough great memories to last a lifetime.
The
June skydives will be very different from last year's historic first
skydives over Mt Everest. Authorities
in Nepal welcomed jumpers and gladly issued the necessary permits to
land near Everest, but authorities in Alaska haven't been as kind. Our
request for a permit to land somewhere near the mountain was denied
by Denali Park Superintendent Paul Anderson.
As
a result, the jump is now going to be much like a military HAHO mission.
HAHO stands for High Altitude, High Open. By exiting and deploying one's
chute at high-altitude, a jumper can achieve the maximum glide distance.
In a military scenario, the jump plane is able to remain in a friendly
country while jumpers exit the aircraft and fly their canopies across
the border to secretly land in enemy territory. In June, we'll essentially
be doing the reverse. We'll be jumping 24,000 feet above "hostile" Denali
National Park, deploying chutes almost immediately, and heading for
"friendly soil", a drop zone just beyond the park's border. A helicopter
will be standing by to retrieve jumpers and fly them back to Talkeetna
Airport.
The need to travel several miles before
landing will actually make for a more incredible jump. Adventurers may
now find themselves riding the winds across miles of mountains, gorges,
rivers, glaciers and tundra in order to land outside the National Park
boundaries. The total time under canopy could reach 30 minutes. That's
a lot of time to enjoy the view and capture incredible video.

Denali Skydive, visit our website.
Corporate Video Features L-39

Austrian plumbing company will soon debut a new company video featuring
our very own Hollywood Top Gun planesand pilots. If you'd like to make
your own Top Gun-style movie in the plane used to train Russian pilots
and cosmonauts, contact us

We've Got a Bigger Boat
Join
Captain and Explorer Tim Taylor and
our very own Sharky Jill aboard the RV Tiburon June 20th, for
an incredible day of shark diving at
Tiger Beach. The cost is $875 to cage dive and $375 to view big
sharks from the deck of the luxury-loaded 63 ft research vessel. No
dive experience is necessary.
For more information, contact
us.
Sharks are Popular
The
gloomy economy hasn't affected the sale of our great
white shark dives in San Francisco. In fact, sales are ahead of
last year and we're on track to sell out earlier than ever before.
Shark season starts in mid-September,
but the time to book is now. One day dives are $875 and depart from
Fisherman's Wharf. Two day liveaboard adventures depart from Sausalito
and are $1175. No dive experience is required. For more info, visit
our website or contact us.
More Jets, More Locations
We're now able to arrange L-39 flights
in a variety of European countries. Plan a summer trip to Prague and
fly an L-39 while you're there. For details, contact
Greg.

Read All About Us |
We've
always had info about the four of us on our website, but now we've
made it a whole lot easier to find. In fact, it's pretty hard
to miss the new "About Us" link
at the top of our "new and improved" home
page.
We want you to know us and feel comfortable buying an adventure
from us. We'd like you to think of us as family. (Unless you don't
like your family.) You can check us out with the Sarasota
Chamber of Commerce or Florida
Division of Corporations. Or, ask for references from past
clients. You can even stop by our office unannounced. (But, if
you call ahead, we'll dress up, vacuum the carpet and have cold
water in the refrigerator.)
We won't be the least bit offended if you ask for proof that
we're "real". We know better than anyone how many "fake" companies
there are on the internet. You should be careful.

We Need Your Help |
In
the last few months, several new websites have popped up on the
internet, advertising MiG flights in
Russia. Many of these websites look an awful lot like ours.
Some have "Incredible Adventures" all over them and display text
taken word-for-word from our copyrighted pages. We've actually
started playing a little game in the office. We post something
new on our website and place bets to see how long it takes for
them to copy us. (They've already copied our new homepage.)
But this situation isn't fun and games. It's serious. As in,
"get the lawyers, Internet Fraud Commission and Interpol involved"
serious.
Only Incredible Adventures can arrange MiG flights for citizens from North America, South America,
the UK, Australia and other English-speaking countries. If you're
from one of these places and give another company money, YOU WILL
NOT GET YOUR MIG FLIGHT. Unless you've always wanted to buy a
stranger in another country a new car, DO NOT GIVE MONEY to anyone
but Incredible Adventures for a MiG flight.
Please help us stop these people. If you have had contact with
one of these "companies" and they have offered to arrange a MiG
flight in Russia, we
need to know. The more evidence we can gather against them,
the easier it will be to prevent them from stealing someone's
money. (Thanks!)

Incredible
Adventures President Jane Reifert recently returned from Orlando,
Florida, where she was an invited speaker at the International Space Development
Conference and the 6th Space Investment Summit. She spent

of XCOR. XCOR is the Mojave, California company developing the
Lynx, a rocket-powered suborbital vehicle capable of flying 200,000
feet high. You can reserve your future Lynx flight through Incredible
Adventures. The cost is $95,000 and includes pre-flight training.
