Incredible Adventures
is teaming up with Starfighters Aerospace to offer suborbital flight
training featuring the legendary Lockheed
F-104 Starfighter, the same jet used to prepare an entire generation
of astronauts for space travel. Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronauts
trained for space in the F-104. Now, you can too!
Suborbital
flight training in the F-104 is available now through Starfighters Aerospace.
IA's newest space adventure takes place at the John F Kennedy Space Center,
near Orlando, Florida. You'll take off and land on the very same runway
used by today's astronauts.
Earlier
this month, Starfighters, Inc. signed a historic Space Act Agreement
with NASA, granting the Florida-based company permission to use NASA's
Shuttle Landing Facility for commercial flight operations.
Getting permission to offer suborbital training flights
from NASA's Kennedy Space Center is HUGE. Training for space at the
same facility used by America's astronauts is an incredible adventure! We're
proud and excited to have been selected to oversee suborbital flight
training sales for Starfighters.
The
basic cost of a four-day training program at the Kennedy Space Center
is $30,500 and includes security clearance, academic instruction,
use of training equipment and one training flight in the F-104
Starfighter captured on high-definition video.
For more information, contact
Incredible Adventures today. Be one of the first to train
for space in America's first Mach 2 fighter jet.
Swim
with the whales of the Silver Bank. Our friends at Conscious Breath
Adventures hold one of the few permits issued to conduct "soft-in-water"
whale encounters within the Dominican Republic's Marine Mammal Sanctuary.
Complete information, including a downloadable brochure, is now available
on our website. For more info, contact us at
800-644-7382.
Our friends at Our Safe Home now offer a unique handgun
training program targeted to women, but open to everyone. A one-of-a-kind
online training course allows you to complete the classroom portion
of your weapons certification training in the comfort of your own home
or office.
Pass the course and you're just three hours away from holding
a Florida Carry Concealed Weapons License. A Florida Concealed
Weapons Permit is valid in 27 states. Training is offered in Orlando,
Miami and West Palm Beach, Florida. The cost is $500 plus $117 for a
state license valid seven years. If you're interested, let
us know and we'll put you in touch with Dan.
Make
your own "Top Gun" movie in an L-39 jet trainer. We
love the video produced by Svetoslav Tashev. You can see it on YouTube.
If you'd like to film incredible aerobatics and more in
the L-39, contact
us today. A variety of flight profiles and production packages are
available.
November
marks the start of crab fishing season in San Francisco. Join us for
a great white shark dive in San Francisco
on November 7th or 8th and dine on fresh crab. For purely selfish
reasons, (our shark crew loves fresh crab) we'll be picking up crab
pots on the way back from the Farallones and cooking up a feast on the
way back to Fisherman's Wharf. (It's our version of "Deadliest Catch"
meets "Jaws".) Rumor is there will be some California wine-tasting after
all the diving is done, in order to make it a true California experience.
If you'd like to skip the shark diving and spend a day touring
San Francisco Bay and catching crabs, let us know. Our one-day shark boat, the New Eldorado III, is available
for private fishing, sightseeing, party and corporate charters.
We love Captain Eddie and his boat and are sure you will too.

In
October of 1993, we arranged our very first MiG flights over Moscow.
Now, 16 incredible years later, we're able to introduce another
historic first... the beginning of space flight training in an
American fighter jet at a NASA facility.
(We'd like to thank Starfighters Aerospace for choosing us to
market their space training worldwide. We couldn't have
asked for a better 16th birthday gift!)
New York Times writer Peter Passell was one of our very first
customers. You can read what he had to say about his flight here.

On December 3, 2009, David Shannon and Christopher Watkins will
celebrate "United Nations International Day of Independence" by
making a high-altitude skydive near New Orleans, LA
with the HALOJUMPER team.
Canadians
Shannon and Watkins are both lawyers in Thunder Bay, Ontario with
disabilities. They embark on extreme adventures to demonstrate
"there are no limits to the potential of the human spirit, regardless
of any physical disability".
In April, David Shannon became the first person with quadriplegia
and in a wheelchair to reach the North
Pole. The two are planning an expedition to the South Pole next
year.
They call themselves "Team Independence" and are raising proceeds
for a special scholarship fund for students with a disability.
You can contribute to the "Team Independence" scholarship fund
by visiting www.teamindependence.ca.
Dave and Chris are encouraging others,
both disabled and non-disabled, to join them on their HALO
jump adventure. The cost of a HALO jump is $3495.
Join Dave and Chris on December 3 and Incredible Adventures will
donate 10% of the jump fee to Team Independence. For more information,
visit our website or call 800-644-7382.

Hey Everyone,
I thought I'd send out a note and let you know how things are
going. So far, we are batting a thousand, with sightings on every
single trip we've made. This Saturday was the topper for us and
a new record with 12, that's right,
12 confirmed sightings. That's twice our previous record of sharks
in a day. There were feedings, predations, spyhops, tail and fin
slaps as well as some pretty major surface thrashing. The sharks
were jumping like popcorn in a kettle, the day was beautiful after
the fog had burned off and the seas were favorable and flat. Not
terribly good water visibility, as there is a big red tide and
ton of krill out there as well, but we did have a cage sighting
as well.
~ Greg Barron, Director of West Coast Shark Operations
Shark season in San Francisco ends November 15th. To book a great
white shark adventure with Greg and the cage diver team, contact
us at 800-644-7382.

Note from a Happy Guadalupe
Shark Diver:
"Sheri, Thanks to you and the friendly professional crew of the
Nautilus Explorer, the trip was a great
success. When I first came aboard, I was treated as though I was
a long lost friend rather than a first time visitor. The service
and diving were outstanding and the knowledgeable crew taught
us a great deal about the animals we observed." - B. Nora
What Sharky Jill Does When She's Not Leading Tiger Shark Adventures:
sharky
Jill has been spending
a lot of time working on the Shark Free Marina Initiative. This
campaign is designed to reduce worldwide shark mortality rates,
through prohibiting the landing of sharks within marinas for any
reason ( i.e finning, meat processing or jaws).
On
September 10, 2009 Old Bahama Bay Marina, the port of departure
for IA's Tiger Shark Adventures,
hung their signs and made a commitment to be Shark Free. For more
information or to get involved check out www.sharkfreemarinas.com
