IA's Rebecca Claxton Becomes First American Woman to Tandem Skydive Over the Pyramids
Last month, IA's Rebecca Claxton traveled to Cairo, to help oversee ground arrangements for the company's first Egypt Skydive. After Incredible Adventures clients successfully completed their planned jumps, she was offered the chance to become the first American woman to tandem jump over the pyramids.
Rebecca jumped with Everest Skydive Tandem Master and Team Doctor, Ryan Jackson, from an Egyptian military C-130 cargo plane. They landed on a drop zone of red Egyptian carpets, next to the Great Giza Pyramid.
To date, most of the IA's extreme skydiving customers have been men. Rebecca hopes her experience will encourage more women to take a leap.

New: Fighter Jet Rides in Canada
We're now taking reservations for fighter jet rides and flight training in the legendary L-29 Delfin. The single-engine Cold War fighter is extremely aerobatic and is now a popular air show performer. The L-29 served as the primary trainer for Eastern Bloc fighter pilots throughout the 1960s, until it was replaced by the L-39 Albatros.
Flights will be available in Canada beginning May 1, and based in Ottawa. (Flights can be arranged in Montreal and Toronto for an additional fee.) Incredible Adventures offers introductory flights, advanced flights, formation flying, air combat and complete pilot training. Pricing starts at $2195 US for an intro flight without video. A two-flight program for two is just $9975 US.
Non-pilots can now buy fighter jet rides under a special Warbird Exemption, issued to qualified operators by Canadian aviation authorities. Almost anyone can fly, as long as minimum age, health and physical requirements are met. Flyers must also sign a waiver and pass a pre-flight safety test.
In the US, the FAA prohibits selling rides in ex-military fighter jets like the L-29 and L-39, so we're excited to be able to offer fighter flights in nearby Canada. (In California and Florida we are only allowed to sell FAA-approved flight training.)
