Floridians are First to Complete Space Training in the F-104 Starfighter

Fly the F-104 StarfighterTerence Witt and his wife Virginia Dickens of Indialantic, Florida, spent five days training at Kennedy Space Center with the team from Starfighters Aerospace. In February, the couple became the first to complete civilian space flight training in the F-104 Starfighter, the legendary jet used to prepare generations of astronauts for space travel.

Terry and Virginia received classroom Starfighter SpaceTrainingbriefings and completed hands-on training in a hypobaric pressure chamber in preparation for the main event... high-speed flights in the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter designed to mimic the flight path of a suborbital space plane.

Fly a Starfighter

Simon Says Thank You

You may remember Simon from an earlier newsletter. He's the guy who flew an English Electric Lightning to the edge of space over Cape Town back in 1999 and then celebrated the 10th anniversary of that flight by traveling to Russia for a journey to the edge of space in a MiG-29. A few days ago, we received the following thank you note and photo from Simon:

Hi Greg,

I hope you accept my apologies for not getting in touch following my last trip which you magnificently organised...The MiG-29 Edge of
Space Flighttrip was fab and went like clockwork. All the contacts were very efficient and we were never left in the unknown once...Thank you once again as I managed to realise my lifetime ambition of reaching the edge of space at a speed of Mach 2.

Speak soon, Simon

Simon is from the UK, but you probably already guessed that from his spelling. If you'd like to be like Simon and fly a MiG over Russia or view Cape Town from a legendary British fighter jet, give us a call at 800-644-7382.

Edge of Space Named One of Top 10 Sky-High Destinations by Dubai Magazine

IA's MiG flights to the edge of space were named one of the "Top 10 Sky-High Destinations" in the February 6 edition of Dubai's popular "The National" Magazine.

In case you didn't know, the world's tallest building is in downtown Dubai. The new Burj Khalifa has over 160 stories and is more than 800 meters (2625 feet) tall. Book a MiG flight to the edge of space and you'll get to fly 26 times as high as the world's highest building. How cool is that?

Skydive Everest Returns

Skydive Everest 2010Incredible Adventures is teaming up with Explore Himalaya to once again offer the most incredible skydive on the planet...a high-altitude jump in front of Mt Everest, the tallest mountain on earth.  IA is now taking reservations for May and October Everest Skydive jump dates.

The jump crew for 2010 includes many of the same great professionals that made 2008's historic first Everest Skydive a success, including videographer Wendy Smith and tandem master Tom Noonan.

Skydive Everest 2010No skydiving experience is necessary. Both tandem and solo jumpers are welcome. This year, solo jumpers have the option of jumping onto the primary drop zone in Syangboche or electing to make a much more difficult jump into KalaPatthar. To jump solo into either location, you must hold a Class C or D License and have completed at least 200 logged jumps.

The cost of a two-week Everest Skydive adventure currently ranges from $24,000 to $32,000 and is based on jump type, drop zone location and currency exchange rates.  For more information, contact us or Greg at 800-644-7382.

Hollywood Top Gun Pilot and Five-Time Aviation Speed Record Holder Dave Riggs was honored to attend Aero Club of Southern California's presentation of the 2009 Howard Hughes Memorial Award to Bob Hoover, one of America's greatest test pilots. Hoover's distinguished aviation career spans more than 50 years and is chronicled in the book "Forever Flying".   Others there to honor Hoover were Neil Armstrong, Chuck Yeager and Buzz Aldrin.

You don't have to be an American hero to hang out with the Chuck Yeager, Dave Riggsgang at Hollywood Top Gun. If you love fast jets, you've got the right stuff.
