Offshore Boat Racing: FAQ

Will I get to drive the boat?
Yes. Each of the boat's four passengers take turns driving while an expert Captain and throttleman provide instruction.

What if I don’t have time for a full day on the water?
We offer two hour, four hour and six hour programs.

I’m planning a group event. Are there other activities you can arrange?
Yes. We can add a BBQ on a local island, jet ski rental, sailing and other fun activities to your offshore adventure.

Are there any physical requirements? Participants should be in reasonably good health. Although our boats provide a smooth ride across the water, this adventure is not recommended for people with serious back problems.

What is the boat capacity?
We have a variety of boats. Most hold four guests plus the captain. Usually, passengers ride in a standing position in individual, padded compartments. We’ll work with you to find just the right boat(s) for you.

What does it cost?
The cost depends on departure point, vessel selection, number of boats and duration of adventure. Fees include captain's services, boat rental, fuel, dockage fees and sometimes lunch. For sample pricing, please refer to the brochure. Noise suppressors, speed goggles, life vests, cold soft drinks and towels are provided. Hotel accommodations, travel to and from "blast off point" and alcoholic beverages are not included.

What if it rains?
We’ll go out as long as it is safe to do so. In the rare event we need to cancel a trip due to extreme weather conditions, we’ll work with you to reschedule for another date.
